We stayed for the 4th of July holiday with the whole family. This is the best place for couples in the area but we wanted our entire family to experience the wonderful service. This is our go-to when visiting Mystic. The Inns proximity to the local vineyards also makes it ideal for any couple looking for a fun day trip. The breakfasts are always yummy and it is only 15 minutes from all of the classic Mystic sites (Seaport, Aquarium, Village).

This amazing inn remains our “go-to” destination to relax and escape the pressures of life. The managers really go all out to make guests comfortable. Aside from its proximity to the amazing Pequot Museum (about 3 minutes away), the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods (about 5 minutes), and famous Mystic (about 15-20 minutes), the inn itself–the surrounding natural setting, the rooms, and the service more than justify coming here yearly, again and again!

My husband and I have never been to a bed & breakfast; married 23 yrs, this was the most amazing experience. First impression: clean, manicured property, bright & beautiful! We then go to our room, with private balcony & we’re even more impressed! Beautifully decorated, stunningly updated, clean & fresh smelling, with country living. My three-day stay over Memorial Day weekend was relaxing and peaceful occupying the Downeast room with its spacious deck, and views of the vegetable and flower gardens. My stay at Abbey’s Lantern Hill Inn totally exceeded my expectations! This was my first time in Connecticut and solo traveling and this was the best spot to stay in. I looked forward to the breakfasts every morning and loved the variety of the menu! The walking trail around the property was something me and my dog Nova looked forward to every morning. This amazing inn is the perfect spot to REALLY feel like you are away from it all, while being 2 minutes away from Foxwoods or an easy drive to Mohegan or Mystic. The beautiful, secluded grounds make for a quiet retreat, with plenty of amenities. We have stayed there three times now and each was a fantastic weekend get-away! The staff truly care about their guests, the guests’ enjoyment, the environment and doing things the right way. We look forward to going back soon!

This was our third year in a row going to Abbey’s Lantern Hill and it is one of our favorite weekends to look forward to every year! We stay in the cottage so we are able to bring our dog who also loves it there! The breakfasts are delicious and Peter and Erika are so accommodating! We recently completed a 2-week road trip with our dog through New England, staying two nights here; it was by far our favorite accommodation! We had Cottage which was so quiet and private, both for ourselves and our dog. We initially chose this B&B for its central location to many other places we intended to visit, Newport RI, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Mystic, Boston. We will definitely be back to take it all in – hopefully, again from our Little Cottage!

I found this gem searching the Mystic area for a getaway. Upon arrival, we explored the property and found a beautiful hammock, fire pit area, darts under the gazebo, and the most beautiful landscaping. We set up our camera all over taking pictures! We drove to watch a show at Mohegan and spent the day in downtown Mystic. Our breakfast was served to our room on the most beautiful serving tray and so delicious!!! Here’s my only regret…. We didn’t stay longer. You will not be disappointed, we will be back soon, and yes I have bragged to my friends/family and have given away the best-kept secret in that area.

This was our second stay at the inn; our first trip there had been so enjoyable that we knew we had to come back. During our stay, we felt as if we were in a peaceful and secluded sanctuary. The room was cozy and warm, and we especially loved the amenities offered: soaps and lotions that were the epitome of luxury. Bathrobes of the finest texture. Items for our dog. We couldn’t have felt more welcome. The Cottage has a fenced-in backyard area, so we were able to spend lazy mornings with the dog, eating a gourmet breakfast together. Our Innkeeper provided some excellent recommendations of places to visit, and even prepared a fire pit for when we returned that evening. I have recommended the place to many of my friends, family, and co workers.

This was my second stay here. The location is excellent. I had a spa day at Foxwoods Casino, went on a sailboat ride, visited downtown Mystic, visited DuBois Beach, and ate some local seafood. Beautiful property. I saw many birds while relaxing in one of the hammocks. There is a walking trail right on the property. Beautifully and meticulously cared for grounds. There is also a garden, where some of the food for breakfast is grown with love. Fresh, quality ingredients. Courteous, thoughtful, generous, knowledgeable and meticulous innkeepers, combined with a property that is close to everything, yet still feels private and serene. I will definitely keep coming back.
