Abbey’s Lantern Hill Inn is an exclusive property where every guest is important and special to us. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

BOOKING: Our online reservation system is current and provides you with the best available rates. While we are listed on many online travel sites, you are guaranteed the best price when you book directly with us. Any discounts or packages we offer are only available for direct bookings on our website.

MINIMUM NIGHTS: Due to high demand, we have a 2-night minimum for Friday & Saturday stays. For some holidays and special events, we have a 3-night minimum. We sometimes make exceptions based on last-minute availability. If you have questions about a specific date, call us at 860-572-0483.

RATES AND GUESTS PER ROOM: Room rates are for a maximum of 2 guests. The Country Room can accommodate a 3rd guest for an added fee by prior arrangement. More than two guests are not permitted in any other room.

PAYMENT: We require a 50% payment of the total cost of your stay when you book. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted. The remaining balance is due on the day of check-in. If you would like to use a different credit card or pay cash, please let us know in advance. Payment for gift certificates and retail items is collected in full at the time of purchase.

CANCELLATION: If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 7 days prior to your arrival date to alert us of your cancellation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 7 days’ notice, shorten your stay, or check out early, please understand that we expect you to pay for the full cost of all nights that are not rebooked. We will do our best to re-book your room night(s). We cannot make exceptions for medical or family emergencies, inclement weather, missed or canceled flights, ferry reservations, etc., so travel insurance is recommended.

RESERVATION CHANGES: The cancellation policy applies to changes in your arrival or departure date that are made with less than 7 days’ notice.

MULTIPLE ROOM RESERVATIONS: Because we are a boutique inn, cancellations of multiple rooms affect us significantly. For this reason, there is a 50% non-refundable deposit when multiple rooms travel together.

CHILDREN: In consideration of guests seeking a quiet adult getaway, we allow children 12 years of age and over. Children count as adults regarding room occupancy.

PETS: We welcome you to bring up to two well-behaved pets in the Cottage. There is a fee per night per pet. Pets are not permitted in any other guestrooms or common spaces. Pets accompanied by their owners are welcome to enjoy our onsite hiking trails and outdoor spaces. Pets must always be kept under your control. Owners are expected to pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste. Emotional support animals are considered pets and must follow these rules.

DURING YOUR STAY

CHECK-IN: Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. We will provide instructions for self-check-in, so you can arrive at your leisure. Early check-in is available for a fee by pre-arrangement with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you unexpectedly arrive early, please use the time to sightsee or grab a bite to eat, as your room will not be ready.

CHECK-OUT: Checkout is at 11:00 AM. Late checkout at 12:00 PM is available for a fee by prior arrangement.

BREAKFAST: Your stay includes a delicious hot breakfast each morning served from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM. We use high-quality, all-natural, organic, and locally produced ingredients. Please provide notice when you book if you or your guest has a special diet or allergies so we can accommodate your needs. Each day of your stay, we will email an online form for you to select your breakfast for the following day. You can enjoy breakfast in the dining room, breakfast-in-bed with special in-room trays we provide, or on your room’s private patio, weather allowing.

PARKING: We have ample free parking at the inn that is monitored by 24-hour cameras. For electric vehicle drivers, there are two Level 2 charging stations. We are happy to assist seniors and mobility-impaired guests with carrying luggage if we are available when you arrive. Please call us if special parking arrangements are needed for any reason.

SMOKING: Outdoor smoking is allowed, provided you do not intrude on the enjoyment of others. We strictly forbid indoor smoking of any kind, including any use of e-cigarettes, cigars, vaping devices, and marijuana. Guests who violate this rule will be charged a $250 room fumigation fee and evicted without a refund.

QUIET HOURS: To ensure a restful and relaxing environment for all guests, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM are quiet hours. During this time, we ask all guests returning to the inn to enter quietly and keep all in-room and outdoor noise to a level that is respectful to other guests.
